Students recently graduated from college or universities are invited to take part in the challenge and represent their entrepreneurship ideas using technology in order to have an impact on society.

Prizes will be given to the students that come up with new and advanced ideas. These prizes will be awarded for the attainment of the advancement to carry out social reforms.

Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2020 Details:

CISCO (Computer Information System Company) discern the importance of growing digital technology and impact of intelligent thinking in term of IOT (Internet of things) and is dedicated to solve global problem having an impact on Peoples lives and society.

The Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge has been organized for the fourth time on annual basis.

The student entrepreneur with creative thinking are invited to apply before January 17, 2020.

Benefits of the Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2020 program:

Cisco technology experts and high-profile judges will analyze the solution and ideas provided by the student and will finalize the best provided innovative solution.

There is a chance of global recognition and publicity.

A peer and Industry certification will be also provided to the ideas that come up with better and advanced use of technology to solve global issues.

Prizes to be Awarded:

Grand Prize Winner:

One of the team represented an innovative solution will be selected as the grand prize winner.

The awarded prize would be of $100,000 USD.

First Runner Up:

Another team selected as first runner-up would be awarded $75,000 USD .

Second Runners Up:

Three teams receiving $25,000 USD each will be the Second Runners Up.

Third Runners Up:

Four teams selected as the Third Runners Up and will receive $10,000 USD each.

People’s Choice Award:

There will be a team the people’s choice. Including the finalist getting large number of votes will receive $10,000 USD.

Another set of prizes India Impact Prizes are also designated to be given to the best innovative solutions.

India Impact Grand Prize:

Amount of $25,000 USD will be given to the selected team members.

India Impact Runners Up:

Two teams will receive $10,000 USD each

India Impact People’s Choice Award:

The finalist with most votes will receive the People’s Choice Award and an amount of $5,000.

Deadline for the Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2020 program is January 17, 2020 at 5 pm PT.

Eligibility:

Areas of impact include, but are not limited to, critical human needs like water or food security, healthcare, financial inclusion, education, accessibility, and the environment.

in order to apply for Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2020 the participant must fulfill the following criteria.

For participants to be eligible:

While registering for the contest the applicants must agree with terms and condition disagree he/she must not register.

  • Participants must be 18 or older in case of any query Click Here
  • The idea must encompass Internet of Things (IOT) or digital technology.
  • The provided idea should have positive impact on society (e.g. in health, education, accessibility, critical human needs (food, water, disaster response/recovery, safety, etc.).
  •  In case of applying as a team at least half of the team’s members must be students currently enrolled at a post-secondary institution or have received a degree after March 1, 2018.
  • Only those participants that have not won and received monetary awards in the Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge or a Cisco prize at the Rice Business Plan Competition before.
  • If entering as a business entity, at least 25% of the legal business must be owned by individuals the participant.
  • Individual students and recent grads may also apply.

Applications are accepted between October 15, 2018 to January 17, 2020.

CONTEST PARTICIPATION:

Individuals:

Individual Participants may enter as a single Entry.

Teams:

Team of up to five members to develop and submit a single Entry with a designated team leader.

Each  member must have to agree with term and conditions.

Business Entities:
